FAQ

What kind of gear do you use?

I am a digital photographer and both my main and backup cameras are made by Nikon.

How many photos do we get?

Every wedding is different but you can expect a final delivery of 75-100 photographs PER HOUR in a mix of color or black and white.

What about "outtakes"?

I sometimes joke that I never take a bad photo. What I mean is that you’ll never see my bad photos. The photos that we cut out are ones that are obviously “unflattering”, blinks, unintentionally blurry, duplicates, and very, very similar images where one version is better than the other.

Will all of our photos be edited?

Absolutely. I’ll spend days culling hundreds of photos down to the select few that we feel accurately capture your wedding day. Ensuring that the color, exposure, and mood are exactly as I intended them to be.
Some photographers do provide full color and full black/white collections but we don’t. The color of a photograph is an stylistic choice. My reasoning here originates from film photography. A photo was either created on color film OR black and white film. We make that choice based on the lighting conditions and personal preference.

Do I have to order prints through you?

You can and I encourage it! Not because I want your money but because the difference between a professional print and a consumer print is amazing. BUT...I'm not your dad, you can do what you want. I can definitely point you the direction of a great online lab to help you get prints made on your own.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes! I'll go wherever you need me to go. If your event is more than 150 miles away from home we do ask clients to put us up in a hotel nearby so that we don't have to drive home in the middle of the night.

Can I extend the time of our event on the day of?

Sure. I'll just send you a new invoice when I get home.
